SHAPPI KHORSANDI 'MISTRESS AND MISFIT' 2018 UK TOUR ANNOUNCED

Shappi Khorsandi presents England's unsung heroine, Emma, Lady Hamilton. For too many years she has been known as just Nelson's mistress, a bit of a harlot (you get one job in a brothel and bang goes your reputation). Women's lib wasn't a thing in Georgian times. Emma moved mountains to haul herself from scullery maid to Lady Hamilton ... and yes, she occasionally danced naked on tables to get ahead in life, but who hasn't? As a fellow naked dancer on tables, Shappi raises a glass to the woman England betrayed.

Star of Live At The Apollo, Have I Got News for You and Q.I. Shappi Khorsandi is back on the road with her 2017 sell out Edinburgh Festival Fringe show ‘Mistress and Misfit’, travelling to 34 venues across the UK this coming spring. Please find a full list of tour dates and listings information below.

Shappi is a best-selling author having released ‘A Beginners Guide to Acting English’ in 2009, followed by her fantastic critically acclaimed debut novel ‘Nina Is Not OK’, published by Ebury in July 2016 and released in paperback in February 2017.

BBC THREE SITCOM 'JOSH' BACK FOR A THIRD SERIES IN OCTOBER

After a successful second series in 2016, hugely popular stand-up Josh Widdicombe returns for a 3rd series of 'JOSH'.

Written by Josh Widdicombe and Tom Craine, directed by David Schneider (I'm Alan Partridge and The Death Of Stalin) and produced by Simon Mayhew-Archer from BBC Studios (This Country),  the 6 x 25 minute series will debut on BBC Three this October (date to be confirmed).

For Josh, the phrase “nice guys finish last” doesn’t quite cover it. He’s the kind of guy who doesn’t realise the race has started, hits every hurdle on the way and then gets strangled by the finishing tape.

This series follows his successes (not many) and his failures (many) as he tries to navigate the race of life. Whether it’s being dumped whilst dangling on a zip-line, tolerating an egomaniacal fellow comedian on tour or being blackmailed by a septuagenarian next-door neighbour, Josh always tries to do the right thing…and always comes off the loser.

Trundling alongside Josh are his loyal flat-mates, Owen (Elis James) and Kate (Beattie Edmondson), closely followed by their remorselessly attentive landlord, Geoff (Jack Dee).  Other cast members to appear throughout the series include; Jennifer Saunders (Kate's mum Judith), Diana Vickers (as herself), Scarlet Alice Johnson plus comedians Tom Allen, Ellie Taylor, Cariad Lloyd and Mike Bubbins

NEW JACK DEE SITCOM 'BAD MOVE' TO AIR ON ITV1 THIS AUTUMN

6 X 30 MINUTE EPISODES

First episode: Wednesday 20th September at 8pm on ITV1

Bad Move is a new single camera scripted comedy for ITV by Open Mike Productions written by Jack Dee and Pete Sinclair.

Starring Jack Dee as Steve and Kerry Godliman as his wife Nicky, they play a married couple who are both on their second marriages and have decided that moving to the countryside from the city is the answer to all their dreams.

They’ve watched all the TV relocation shows and read the glossy lifestyle magazines and fell in love with the idea of ‘getting away from the rat race’.

Unfortunately living a simple existence in beautiful surroundings is not all it’s cracked up to be and Steve and Nicky soon find living in the countryside might not be for them after all. Especially when they discover that the house they’ve bought is situated in what locals refer to as ‘In’t Dip’ – a place where internet signals cannot reach, but floodwater most definitely can.

Filmed in the picturesque North Yorkshire Moors, Bad Move is a family comedy set in the most stunning countryside location, where their nearest neighbours Matt (Miles Jupp) and Meena (Manjinder Virk) annoyingly make it all look so easy. Other villagers include Grizzo (Seann Walsh) - a rock star that needs village life to keep him grounded , Ken  (Philip Jackson) - Steve’s no-nonsense disapproving father in-law, and Shannon (Sue Vincent)  - the local shopkeeper.

Bad Move was commissioned by Comedy Commissioning Editor Saskia Schuster and Head of Comedy Entertainment Peter Davey. It’s written by Jack Dee and Pete Sinclair and will be produced by Open Mike Productions with Andrew Beint executive producing.
