AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL UK AND THE GUILTY FEMINIST BRING THE SECRET POLICEMAN’S TOUR TO EDINBURGH PLAYHOUSE IN AUGUST

Amnesty International UK and comedy star Deborah Frances-White of hit podcast The Guilty Feminist are delighted to be launching a brand-new Secret Policeman’s Tour with 3 shows to hit the road throughout 2019, including one night at the Edinburgh Playhouse on Sat 24th August – a must-see show for the final weekend of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe!

More than 40 years since Amnesty’s first ever Secret Policeman’s event, the newly-revamped 2019 Secret Policeman’s Tour will see a host of comedians, musicians, actors, activists and inspiring speakers come together for three electrifying nights of comedy, music and discussion, all in support of human rights.

Joining Deborah Frances-White at the iconic Edinburgh Playhouse will be a supreme line up of guests including Rachel Parris, Nish Kumar, Phoebe Robinson from 2 Dope Queens, Sindhu Vee, Desiree Burch, Rosie Jones, Steve Ali, Hollie McNish, Saoirse-Monica Jackson and Siobhan McSweeney from Derry Girls with music from Jess Robinson and Grace Petrie - more to be announced in due course.

Amnesty International UK and comedy star Deborah Frances-White of hit podcast The Guilty Feminist are together launching a brand-new Secret Policeman’s Tour and have announced three exciting shows happening across the UK this year.

More than forty years since Amnesty’s first ever Secret Policeman’s event, the newly-revamped 2019 Secret Policeman’s Tour will see a host of comedians, musicians, actors, activists and inspiring speakers come together for three electrifying nights of comedy, music and discussion, all in support of human rights.

The tour will kick off on 5th June live at the Hackney Empire, hosted by Deborah Frances-White with guests including Sindhu Vee, Juliet Stevenson, Funmbi Omotayo, Grace Petrie, Desiree Burch, Jess Fostekew, Alison Spittle, Kemah Bob, Francesca Martinez and more.

On 24th August, the tour will come to the Edinburgh Playhouse, where Deborah Frances-White will be joined by guests including Rachel Parris, Nish Kumar, Phoebe Robinson from 2 Dope Queens, Sindhu Vee, Desiree Burch, Rosie Jones, Grace Petrie, Steve Ali, music from Jess Robinson and Siobhan McSweeney and Saoirse-Monica Jackson from Derry Girls.

JACK DEE 'OFF THE TELLY' FIRST SOLO STAND-UP TOUR IN SIX YEARS ANNOUNCED 

Tickets on sale from 10am on Thursday 30th May

Everyone’s favourite grumbler, Jack Dee, is returning to the stand-up stage this autumn with his first solo tour in six years.  Join Jack for an evening of entertainment (food and beverages are not included) as he hits the road with his eagerly awaited brand new UK tour, Off The Telly.

“In these difficult and uncertain times people need hope – a ray of sunshine to brighten their day. And that’s very much where I come in” says Jack.

The Off The Telly tour begins in September and continues until December 2019, with 38 dates announced across the country. Tickets go on general sale from 10am on Thursday 30th May 2019.
