THE LAST LEG WINS BEST ENTERTAINMENT PROGRAMME AT BROADCAST AWARDS 2017

Open Mike Productions beat off stiff competition from Britains Got Talent and Strictly Come Dancing to land the Best Entertainment Programme for The Last Leg at the annual 2017 Broadcast Awards.

The judges declared it a “pioneering” programme. In true Last Leg fashion, another added: “This show stands on its own in this genre… just not on its own legs.”

RICH HALL'S 'HOEDOWN' EXTRA DATES FOR SPRING 2017 ANNOUNCED

Join Rich Hall and his virtuoso musical mates for a mash-up of music, comedy and gratuitous coloration as they return for limited dates of the infamous ‘Hoedown’ in spring 2017.

Performing for two nights at the Glasgow International Comedy Festival (17th - 18th March) and four nights at London’s Leicester Square Theatre (5th - 8th April) will be Rich’s regular band of talented andchronically unemployable urchins. Rich Hall is the star of the critically-acclaimed BBC 4 documentaries ‘Rich Hall’s Californian Stars’, ‘Rich Hall’s You Can Go To Hell’, I’m Going To Texas’, ‘Rich Hall’s Inventing the Indian’ and his most recent, ‘Rich Hall’s Presidential Grudge Match’. He also wrote and starred in a four-part series for BBC Radio 4 in November 2016 entitled ‘Rich Hall’s (US Election) Breakdown’.

JON RICHARDSON 'The Old Man' Brand New UK TOUR Autumn dates announced For 2017

ROB BECKETT ‘MOUTH OF THE SOUTH’ EXTRA DATES ANNOUNCED DUE TO DEMAND

After a massive 150 date sell-out run over the last 18 months, due to huge popular demand Rob Beckett is extending his ‘Mouth Of The South’ tour through to April 2017 with dates across the UK and Ireland, including one night at the Hammersmith Apollo in London on 1st April 2017. BBC THREE SITCOM 'JOSH' COMMISSIONED FOR A THIRD SERIES

As the highly praised second series comes to an end tonight, it is announced today that BBC Three sitcom Josh has been commissioned for a third series by Shane Allen, Controller, BBC Comedy Commissioning, returning with six brand new episodes in 2017. 

Written by Josh Widdicombe, Tom Craine with Henry Paker and directed by David Schneider (I'm Alan Partridge and The Day Today), the quirky comedy follows the highs and lows of the eponymous Josh, an anxious old man trapped in an anxious young man’s body. 

Josh will once again be joined by the regular ensemble cast: his hopelessly selfish flatmates, Owen (Elis James) and Kate (Beattie Edmondson), plus the world's most annoying landlord, Geoff (Jack Dee).  Cameos throughout the two series have included; Jennifer Saunders, Michael Ball, Miles Jupp, Emma Bunton, Tamzin Outhwaite, Romesh Ranganathan, The Chuckle Brothers and James Acaster.
